Addy finally got a TOOTH!

She will be one in less than two weeks and has finally got her first tooth. She also got sick (pretty bad) for the first time. She ran a 103 temp for about 4days. The doc found nothing and said it was probably a virus she picked up. I think she got it at church. (she was in the nursery sunday, sick on monday. I dont think they clean the toys).
Her tooth broke the surface about a week ago! We are very excited. She also is taking about 3-4 steps on her own. She will be running around soon.

I'm getting BIG!

On the fourth of July I discovered dancing! I've been dancing ever since! My grammy got me a radio that I learned how to work, so I can keep the music going! My mom also got me a piano so I can start practicing. It plays songs that I can dance to as well!
I just went to my friend Logans first birthday at Hume Lake. It was my first birthday party! It was so much fun and Logan's cousins were so much fun to play with! Pretty soon I will be running around like Logan is.
I went to the grand canyon with my mom and dad! We went camping. I got to ride on trams and see so many new things. I even met a few friends. I went to Red Rock Slide park and played in the water... I am too little to go down the slides. I love water and got to splash my mom, which was fun!
I went to Carmel for Aunt Bailey's birthday. I also went to Morro Bay and camped. It was windy and mom had to bundle me all up. Luckily, she held me the entire time, because I kept her warm :-)
Jake is still recovering and I go watch him swim in the mornings. I went swimming a few times. I also went swimming in Millerton lake and Mr and Mrs Zemlickas pool. I LOVE water!!!
It's been a busy month! I am standing by myslef for small amounts of time. I am working on my two bottom teeth. I am eating all sorts of new foods. Watermelon and cantelope are some of my favorites!
I think that sums up the last month. I talk all the time and yell and scream because I have so much fun! Life is just so great!!!

I am officially crawling. I walk all over in my walker!

I love to copy whatever you do! i can pull my self to a standing position. I think I can walk by myself but my mom says I have no balance! I went to Tahoe for a wedding. I visited my Nana in El Dorado Hills. Coming up... camping in yosemite!

Addy has figured out how to clap. She loves it! She is very proud of herself. She has been putting her hands together for a while now, and has finally figured out how to make noise with them :-)
Papa has taught her the "snake tounge". She sticks out her tounge and puts it in her mouth... in and out, in and out. Its very funny and ridiculous looking!
She also gives "fake smiles". She gives them genuinely, so technically it's a polite/real "fake smile". She shows her upper gums and puts her head back and grins big! I have to get it on video or something!
She's growing up fast...

Family Fun Time!

Addy is 8mo old now! She is chatting up a storm! She is such a happy baby! She can go fom laying down to sitting up, and loves to pull herself onto her knees. She would LOVE to walk, but we aren't quite there yet. She has no interest in crawling, although she does get in the crawl position. She just rolls and scoots to get where she needs to go and she is content with that. She is interested in every sound and all the new stuff around her she has yet to discover! Addy loves phone and the remote and the wii controllers. Her favorite toy is still a water bottle. A paper plate can keep her occupied for quite a while as well! She has tried watermelon, honeydew, cantelope, along with many veggies. She gets a funny face, yet returns to have more! She does great in her stroller, kickin back and relaxin'. She is so much fun! She knows what mama and dada mean. She is also saying nana, doodoodoo, a-goo, a-duh duh. She loves to squeal and scream in delight! They are great noises to hear.

She still has no teeth. She has quite and active tounge. She can twirl it, fold it, stick it in and out like a snake. She smacks her lips, occasionally snorts, and lifts her arms to be picked up! She can walk with assistance. She is a great joy!

Park Day!

Addy and Logan (and their moms) went to Woodward park. It was their first time seeing geese! Logan said 'Hi" for the first time! They had a ton of fun!

Funny Story: Someone asked us if they were our children. HAH! We told them yes and they said, "ooh you guys are young moms". "you don' look like you just had a baby"... I guess they didn't see Ashley's 4 mo basketball. LOL!

YUP. I am in unchartered waters. We found out that Jake's limp is actually due to a partially ruptured ACL. This injury of course, requires surgery. It is not cheap. The surgery alone costs approx $2000. This does not include what we have spent to get the problem diagnosed (sedation, xrays, exams) and the cost for his rehab (follow up visits, medications, bandaging, etc). Rehab will take 6mo to complete. ANYWAYS, James always said that a dog is just a dog... and many agree. However, I view him like a child, and will a least TRY to do what I can to raise the money without dipping into our existing budget or going into debt.
SO..... that leads me to my uncharted waters. Jake was diagnosed Wed night. I have since made ten (yes 10) dozen cookies (not including the 9 dozen crappy cookies that didn't turn out to my liking), wrapped and packaged them, and made about 50 oreo truffles and boxed them up ready for sale. Ya gotta start somewhere. They are off to the firehouse tomorrow.
In the works is a pasta feed/concert that will take place May 2nd or not at all. I will know in a few days if this is possible or crazy talk!
My brain is exhausted just thinking about this. (11pm doesn't help either).
Well, thought I'd take a break from talking about Addy and mention Jake. By the way, Addy has been playing with Grammy and in her new bouncer/entertainment chair thingy she has while all this is in process.

Taylor weekend!

We saw Taylor Swift in concert with Chris and Leah! It was a great date night! Grammy and pap watched Addy and they all survived :-)

Chris and Leah were great with Addy. Addy was so comfortable with them and was such a show off.

They introduced her to games. Her favorite was MAD GAB! That little orange piece of plastic entertained her forever!

Happy Easter!

Addy's first Easter! We went to church, then went to grammy and papas house for a bbq with the family. A friend gave Addy 3 new dresses and this one was PERFECT for Easter!

Addy FINALLY said da-da yesterday! James was ecstatic!!!

addy is so talkative!

She chatters up a storm. She just figured out how to say 'papa'. It's funny because she whispers it. (Its the only time she whispers). She is also saying "baba" and "mama" and the occasional "g" sound. She just started to yell. It's hilarious because her mouth moves like she's saying an entire sentence, but only a little comes out. However, the amount of sounds are growing everyday. She is now a pro at rolling over and can sit up pretty well. She just gets distracted, reaches for something, and topples over. She LOVES to stand. She tries to bounce. She kicks her legs like crazy when she's excited! She fake coughs to get attention when no one is looking at her. She uses her arm to make a "ba" ba" ba". She loves it when i do this with my finger over her mouth too. She loves to slap your hand repetitively for entertainment :-)
She went to her first FSU softball game. Everone loved her. There are pics on my phone so it may take a while to get them on the computer. She also went to the gym daycare for the first time. I heard her screams throughout the weight room after 20min. Needless to say, I cut my workout short. (Im training for a half marathon in Sept). Now I try to have my sis Katie watch her. Addy does well with her!
We started rice cereal. She's not a fan. So far she dislikes brocolli and greenbeans, and peas, but can tolerate carrots. She hasn't swallowed anything yet, but we are mainly getting her used to new tastes.
She is NOT sleeping through the night. I think she gets nightmares (about once a night). She wakes up looking freaked out and screaming... which is unlike her.
She is growing up fast and is so much fun! She will be 7mo in 10days. She's not catching onto signing, but we are still working on it. Crawling is in the works. She can barely tolerate her tummy, but I'm making her have tummy time daily. No teeth yet either :-)

Uncle Donnie and Aunt Sharon also visited from Iowa for a few weeks. It was their first time meeting Addy! We spent a lot of time hanging out with them.

A few days before Addy turned 6mo she thought the car was pretty cool! Then she turned 6mo and has moved on to bigger and better!
